A very special event for the Lady Members
“For some time now the Gentlemen of the Club have been able to display their membership by wearing a Club Tie. A good friend of the Club who wished to remain anonymous (A Mr R Gray) has purchased the entire first order of brooches, with the request that they be held by the Club and presented to each Lady Member while the stocks last. Mr Gray was made an Honorary Member.

A rather firm letter from the Common Cryer and Sergeant at Arms re timings – there had been problems with timings at three of the last four events.

– three speeches are quite adequate
– Toast Master must be aware of and take responsibility for timings
– the Manager should attend the Master throughout – and not disappear! He had to be fetched after the Dessert by the President!!
– the Toastmaster was totally inadequate

Please get it right next year, as your events are such fun.
The Club did.
