After discussion and an explanation from the Hon. Sec and support from the Hon. Auditor it was agreed that in future Minutes could be in typed format and inserted in a loose leaf folder – not in a specific Minutes Book, so long as the sequence was clearly defined. “This was in line with Modern Practice.”
N.B. As there were still a few pages left in the Original Minute Book, the Club did not go to a loose leaf folder until the 1973 AGM, the typed Minutes being glued into the Minutes Book.

It was noted that the Club President Alderman Alan Greenaway would be retiring shortly and that Mr Wharton CC (a club member) was also retiring thus there would be some Elections in the foreseeable future.

A draft of this was presented to the Meeting and approved.

6th October – Harvest Festival – St Peter upon Cornhill
The Master was asked to read the Lesson
27th October Ladies’ Night Dinner and Dance – Livery Hall, Guildhall

Mr J Evan-Cook was elected as a Common Councillor for Lime Street Ward
Discussions re the Combined Ward Club Event – I think it lost money in 1972
There was a proposal that a new Committee be formed for 1973 and onwards.
It was being proposed that for the 1973 event the ticket price would be £9.00p per person.
It was felt that £18.00p per couple was to high given the other events in the year many people would attend.
The Ward Club representatives (Master and Hon Sec) were asked to put these thoughts forward to the Event Committee in January.
The closing of a chapter?
Actually the closing of the Club’s first (and only) Minutes Book
From now on typed Minutes filed in Ring Binder(s)
